They explored around the bank of the lake and discovered the plants and animals around. Some drew pictures, some took notes, and some took some samples of the things they found.
At the end, we gathered our samples of pond water. Everyone gathered 1 jar. With 12 students, that should give us 3 sets of cultures.
Cultures are collections that allow microorganisms to grow and reproduce.
To turn our pond water into cultures, we added some dried straw in 3 jars, white rice in 3, egg yolk (hard boiled) in 3, and soil(which I happen to currently have a mountain of out back) in 3.
