Experiment 12.1 Insect Classification
Students were given pictures with their lab sheet and some plastic specimens to classify using the dichotomous key presented,

Experiment 10.1 Carbon DIoxide and the greenhouse Effect
We had an inverse result on this one. I believe our in and out sun affected it. We will redo this experiment in a future class.
Experiment 8.3 Environmental Factorand its effect on Radish Leaf color
I planted these and photographed daily for the students. They filled in their charts and found that a lack of light does affect the color of the leaves. The cotyledons need light to develop the green color.
Experiment 5.2 The Fragility of an Enzyme
The group worked on the prep and observation of this together. After trying to blend the pineapple with a wooden spoon in the blender failed (HA!), they managed to get everything done. The bowls were placed in the fridge to set while we worked in some other areas.
The 3 bowls were:
pineapple a-cold pineapple set but loosely
pineapple b- warm pineapple didn't set
no pineapple set fully
The boys proceeded to eat the heated pineapple, jello, and the rest of the experiment. Guess we haven't reached the "don't eat your science lab experiments" stage yet.
